Crane Bumpers |

| Crane Bumpers are available in Solid
Cast or Steel PLate base designs or with a single bolt.
Solid Cast Bumpers are a single
piece molded type, with steel screen reinforcements
in the base plate. Available in 2" to 12" Dia.
Steel Base designs have a steel base plate with 4 bolt
holes, bonded to the cylindrical bumper. They are available
from 2" Dia. up to 12" Dia. Econo Bumpers are
available with a bolt molded to the base. All Crane Bumpers
comply with C.M.A.A & O.S.H.A. requirements. |

DESIGN FEATURES: |
|
PPC Crane
bumpers comply with OSHA and C.M.A.A specifications for
Bridge and Trolley bumpers. |
|
Bridge bumpers are
designed to stop the bridge at an average deceleration
rate of less than 3 ft/s/s when traveling at 20% of the
rated load speed. |
|
Trolley bumpers are
designed to stop the trolley at an average deceleration
rate of less than 4.7 ft/s/s when traveling at one third
the rated load speed. |
|
The conical cross section
of the bumper enables higher load bearing capacity (approx
10% more) than the cylindrical designs. |
|
Because of the conical
shape, the bumper exerts higher resistance as the bumper
is compressed. |
|
The impact surface
and the deflecting body of the bumper have molded surface
finishes, thus improving the cut resistance by as much
as 300% compared to open cast surfaces. |
|
| SAFETY FEATURES: |
|
Safety
cable hooks are molded in the bumpers in compliance with
OSHA standard 1910.179 (iii). These safety hooks are located
outside the deflecting body of the bumper. |
|
PPC's crane bumpers
are less than half the weight of the bumpers with steel
mounting plates. Thus they are safer and easier to handle.
|
|
The single piece molded
design is safer because there is no possibility of the
bumper portion separating from the mounting plate. |
|
PPC crane bumpers are
made of the best available polyurethane elastomers. These
are tough, durable and safe over a wide range of operating
temperatures (-60ºF to +225ºF). |
|
PPC Crane bumpers are
made in a bright red color so as to enhance visual inspection.

POLY-PRO Crane Bumpers
are available in 3 basic design groups. "P"
series are our own unique design, comprising a uni-cast
bumper and base portion, with 4 holes for anchoring bolts.
"S" series have Polyurethane bumpers molded
to steel base plates with 4 holes for anchoring bolts.
"B" series are our economical series, with one
bolt molded integral with the bumper for ease of mounting. |

are produced to exacting standards, using the best performance
polyurethane elastomers, assuring you of long SERVICE
LIFE, smooth & quiet PERFORMANCE, and MAINTENANCE
FREE OPERATION, even in dirty and hostile environments. |

POLY-PRO Crane Bumpers
can be visually inspected from the floor level and since
they do not have any moving parts, or any enclosed parts,
no failures or malfunctions will go undetected. |

POLY-PRO Crane Bumpers
are light-weight, and are designed for ease of installation
and handling. |
|
POLY-PRO Crane Bumpers
can be used in temperature ranges of -60° F (-50°
C) to 225° F (107° C), and are not effected by
oil, grease, humidity, dirty environments, aging or temperature
changes. |

"S-Series"
Crane Bumpers |
"
Poly-Pro" 'S" Series Crane Bumpers are made of a
high performance polyurethane elastomer bumper body that is
cylindrical shaped, and is bonded perpendicular to a square,
steel base plate with 4 mounting holes. The bumper has an
integrally molded 'safety-hook', designed for safety cable
anchoring.
